NaNoWriMo. Seriously, that's what they call it.

I'm seriously considering doing that write-a-novel-in-a-month thing in November.

Although 50,000 words in a month may prove to be insurmountable for someone as slow as me, it's worth a try. I just have to figure out what I want the novel to be.
Possibilities (suggestions/comments welcome):

1. I could spew out a generic fantasy novel. Or I could stab myself in the eye with a pen. On second thought, perhaps that genre has been abused enough. As have I.

2. I have a couple of short stories that I'm working on now that I think I could maybe consolidate into something bigger. Although I guess that would be cheating.

Fuck it, I might do that anyway.

Does anyone else want to join in?

I'd love to, but I'm crippled by a fear of failure.

Also, perhaps less surmountably, I'll be doing exams then. I'd like to give it a go, but I think I'll have to see how my November looks closer to the event.

I could do with another challenge soon, if you're up for it. But you'd have to come up with the prompts, since mine suck arse.

No way. That novel writing thing damn near broke Dan last year. And that's before I start grasping for reasons like no time + assignments etc.
