With a brief digression...

A brief recap of my weekend, because I feel like posting something:

Bumping into Gareth in a roundabout way made me think of loyalty (because of some post he'd made) which made me think of the story that dog people tell to show they're better than cat people, about what either animal would do if their master died and they were left alone in the house with no food:

DOG: Oh noes! The master has passed away, and we shall surely die of starvation, locked up in this house as we are.

CAT: *shrugs* We could just eat him.

DOG: Don't ever do that!

CAT: What?

DOG: Shrug. Cats can't shrug.

CAT: What, like this? *shrugs*

DOG: Eeeeww, it's like you're deforming your bones or something.

CAT: Aha. So are we going to chow down or what?

DOG: Oh, sure. I hear they're just machines made of meat anyhow.

Or something like that.
