I made it yesterday, and there were 50,000 people. Which is decent. On the news, the Libs said this means that 95% of people don't care, and that's where my memory blacks out. Next thing I know, I come to holding a high powered automatic weapon, and the feds ring with some questions regarding seditious behaviour...
For 2 weeks after the 25th of this month, I'm going on holiday, by which I mean I'm not going anywhere, and by anywhere, I mean "to work". I think I'm going on holiday because I miss the wee hours of the morning. There have been times when the wee hours of the morning have been all that I've lived for. That quiet. That solitude, safe and unconnected from human distractions.
Anyway, if anyone wants to do stuff then, I'm extra-available.
So, books:
4. Summerland by Michael Chabon.
-is like Narnia, but with baseball instead of christianity. Ripping fun, even if you hate baseball.
5. Fray by Joss Whedon.
A graphic novel. I've said "Buffy with flying cars," but that's not strictly true. It has less focus on an ensemble of characters, and the protagonist is a more interesting messed up butt-kicker. It's still about a girl learning how to be a hero, though.
6. The Philosophy Gymn by Stephen Law.
Neat collection 25 philosophy "problems", written for people with no experience in philosophy, making a nice taster for further reading.
Firefox has died, and I'm doing this in explorer. Oh, terrible day.
