Woot! (followed by Woe)
Jul. 21st, 2005 08:54 pmSo I met Neil Gaiman and heard him read a couple of excerpts from Anansi boys. So much has been said and written on the subject of just how gosh-darn nice the man is, that there's very little I can add. Other than, well gosh. He's nice. In the warm, polite, friendly sense of the word. I left happy, and spent the other parts of my day off with all manner of groovy peoples whose lj names I can't be bothered typing. You know who you are.
The bad news: After a blissful week or so of having the web again, my computer has died horribly with beeping sounds. I think it's either the motherboard or the memory. Fuck it, maybe I'll replace both. I've had both for nigh on five years. Needless to say, I'm posting this from my parent's place, and the internet will be a less than sure-fire way to contact me in the near future, at least if you need a quick response.
Grrr. I have half finished stories lying unreachable on my hard drive. And I wanted to read
liadlaith's time travel story from the comfort of my own home. Soon.
Stupid technology. Never had this problem with pen and paper.
Well, less often anyway.
